Welcome

Myra P. Martinez Elementary is named in memory of a passionate educator who served Abilene ISD for 7 years. Construction is now complete at the brand new campus replacing Fannin and College Heights – two elementary schools at which Myra Martinez once taught. Built on the original site of Franklin Middle School, the campus is located on the corner of North 12th Street and Merchant Street.


Mission Statement
We at Martinez Elementary unite to create a positive and accepting environment where all students can flourish and rise to reach their fullest potential by establishing behavioral supports and teaching social skills needed for all students to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.
