    A representative from the University of Texas will be on campus 3rd period, Wednesday May 15th in room 103 to meet with prospective juniors. Interested students must check in with their 3rd period teacher before coming to the meeting.

    Seniors on the Recommended Plan for graduation can now come by the Registrar’s office to pick up your white cord for graduation and Baccalaureate.

    If you are interested in taking part in the African Dance for the spring show, we will be practicing every day after school in Mrs. Kirby’s room (S25) today until Thursday. We will start practice right after the bell and will go no later than 5:30 pm. Hope to see you there!

    Come see the Cougarette Spring Show this Friday, May 17th and Saturday, May18th at 7pm in the Cooper Auditorium...tickets available at the door for $5.00 each.

    You may start turning your textbooks in on Monday May 13th by the Cougar in Science Bldg. Check with your teachers to find out what day will be the last day they expect you to use your textbooks. I will be available each day beginning at 7:15 for check in. During the school day you can drop by and turn them in to Mr. McQueen or Ms. Long. Please do not drop them off without having them scanned or signing a return slip.

    Graduation picture envelopes are available in the registrar’s office, the counseling office, the attendance office, and Mrs. Wiggins’ office.  If you want to order pictures from your graduation on June 1st, please pick up an envelope.

    Only ONE Saturday school remains this year!  If you have over nine absences in any class period, you need to attend Saturday school on the 18th. If you have excessive absences and fail to attend Saturday school, you are in jeopardy of losing credits and not graduating with your class.

    Baccalaureate is on Sunday, May 19th at 2:00 in HSU’s Behrens Chapel.  Please see your Government or Economics teacher for the Baccalaureate informational handout.  Your English teacher will have the handouts as well.  The handout can also be found on the Cooper webpage under the senior section.

    To students who have reserved a senior west parking spot for next year. Just a reminder your spot must be paid for by the last day of school, May 31st or you will lose your spot to another senior on the waiting list.

Message from the Principal

Welcome to the Cooper High School web site. Our site will provide you with important information concerning our school, faculty, staff and students.

Cooper High School offers a wide range of academic and extra-curricular programs to meet the needs of our students. We strive to provide opportunities for our students to prepare for their future through academic preparation as well as their personal interests and goals.

We are dedicated to provide an environment in which each student is treated with respect. We believe students will then treat each other with greater respect and courtesy, and strive to excel to higher levels of academic and extra-curricular achievement. We want to stress the importance of school attendance with the understanding that students achieve higher levels of success by being in class.

I know you will find our site informative and helpful; but if you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact our campus. We will direct you to the person who can best answer your questions.
