Curriculum and Instruction

Welcome to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Our office provides information and support for improving student academic achievement across content areas, teacher leadership, and the implementation of research-based teaching methods.

Professional Learning Opportunities support the Abilene Independent School District by introducing best-practices through multiple trainings and workshops. This in turn allows for the enhancement of professional skills, and developing strategies for improved effectiveness throughout our district to ensure that all children achieve their full academic potential.
