Accountability

The mission of the Abilene ISD Accountability Department is to:

·Promote student learning and achievement

·Coordinate the administration of the state assessment program

·Provide leadership in the use of student performance data for instructional decision-making

·Prepare reports and presentations related to individual schools and district-wide student performance data

Jeannie Forehand has worked for the Abilene Independent School District since 1989 when she was hired to teach Math at Abilene High School. After teaching for 15 years, she was an Associate Principal at Abilene High School and principal of Bassetti Elementary. She moved into her current position as Director of Accountability in 2008.

Mrs. Forehand attended Abilene public schools, and went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education and Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Abilene Christian University. She and her husband are proud parents to a son and a daughter who attend Abilene ISD schools.
