** Students will not be allowed to buy Prom tickets if they have holds on their accounts (i.e. lost/not turned in textbooks, failure to pay for permanent/temporary IDs, failure to pay for uniforms, etc.). **

Senior Picnic: May 30th, 2013

For the senior picnic, we need parents to help cook and serve hamburgers, supervise students, and help out as needed.  The senior picnic will take place at the Abilene Swim Club from 12:30-3:30.  Any donations of money, food, and services will be greatly appreciated.  If you have something special to contribute or would like to volunteer, please let Mrs. Wiggins know by emailing her at joy.wiggins@abileneisd.org.

Project Graduation

Project graduation is a celebration offered by the Parents Who Care organization, a non-profit organization, to allow students a way to celebrate their high school graduation in an alcohol, tobacco, and drug free environment.  Project graduation will be on Saturday, June 1st.  Registration is from 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm.  Students are allowed to bring one high school aged guest, and if students leave, they will not be allowed back in.  Various fun activities and prizes along with food are offered throughout the evening.  If you would be interested in donating or helping out with this cause, please contact D’Ann Giddings at 325-665-3266 or pwcprojectgraduation@gmail.com.

To help raise funds for Project Graduation, you may want to be FLOCKED!  To be flocked, please fill out the attached form and help our graduates celebrate their success!  Flamingo Flocking

Absences and Saturday Schools

Seniors, please take care of any excessive absences by attending Saturday school.  You do not want to be denied credit due to excessive absences because it will delay your ability to graduate.  For each Saturday school you attend, an absence will be taken away.  Remember that absences are looked at per class period, and if you have 9 or more absences in any one class period, you could be denied credit for that class.  Please take advantage of Saturday school if you have 9 or more absences in any one class period.
