This year we welcome back Mrs. Shelly Reed, and a new music teacher, Miss Stephanie Frakes.  Mrs. Reed has been teaching music in AISD for 8 years and is and adjunct professor of voice at ACU.  Ms. Frakes earned her Bachelor of Music from Abilene Christian University and graduated in May 2012 with highest honors.  She is thrilled to spend her first year of teaching with the fabulous Austin Raiders!

Lots of great events are happening this year in our music classes.  Our 5th Grade students are preparing a patriotic program called “Past, Presidents, Future”, and you will NOT want to miss it.  It will be performed on October 22nd.  Also, the 2nd Grade students will perform a Christmas program on December 10th as well as singing at the Hendrick Medical Hospital and AISD administration building.
