PTA
The PTA strives to make every child's potential a reality. Donating $5.50 to become a member gets every child at Dyess Elementary a little closer to reaching their potential! Our organization is dedicated to improving and enhancing our childrens' educational experience while here at school. WHAT IS PTA? PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association and is the nation's oldest child advocacy organization. WHO CAN JOIN THE PTA? Anyone who wants to support the students at Dyess Elementary can join the PTA. We encourage everyone to join our community. Parents, students, friends, neighbors, grandparents...everyone is welcome to be a part of our organization! WHY SHOULD I JOIN DYESS ELEMENTARY PTA? Joining Dyess Elementary PTA makes you a member of this organization and gives you a voice in improving the education, safety and health of your child on a local and national level. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A MEMBER? To become a member, simply fill out the form (membership forms are located on the red PTA bulletin board near the front doors of school or click on the link on the left) and submit it with your $5.50 dues. You can be as involved as you want to be. Some members choose to pay their dues and be silent supporters while others use their membership as an opportunity to volunteer, support, and vote on important PTA issues. It's all up to you! Membership in the PTA gives you the opportunity to vote on PTA issues. Although, you are under no obligation to attend monthly meetings, your input is always welcomed and appreciated. DO I HAVE TO COMMIT MY TIME OR DO SOMETHING IF I JOIN? While the PTA appreciates all volunteer efforts and attendance at general meetings or PTA events, neither of these are required of PTA members. Paying for your Dyess Elementary PTA membership simply shows your support of this organization and your advocating for your child. Thank you for your continued support of your Dyess Elementary PTA!!
