Adult Education currently offers the following career pathways:
- CNA (Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing)
- Welding (TSTC)
- Industrial Fundamentals (TSTC)
To enroll in these classes, students must be tested through Adult Education and given 12-18 hrs of workplace training. This training is tailored to the individual’s program of interest, so (for example) if you are studying to be a CNA, instruction includes basic anatomy and physiology, fractions and percents, basic writing and reading comprehension skills, and some early material used in CNA coursework. Welding and Industrial courses require instruction in basic math, writing, measurements, and soft skills training.
