Abilene ISD Executive Director of Athletics Jim Garfield announced Thursday that the district has hired T-Keeyah Hall-Fanner as the new head volleyball coach at Abilene High School.

Hall-Fanner joins the Abilene High coaching staff after spending two years as head volleyball coach at Newman Smith High School in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Her coaching experience includes serving as the head volleyball coach and junior high basketball coach for Electra ISD, head volleyball coach for Knox City-O’Brien CISD, and junior varsity volleyball and soccer coach for Monterey High School in Lubbock ISD. Additionally, Hall-Fanner has coached multiple elite club volleyball programs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and served as the middle school volleyball coach at Plainview Christian Academy.

“I am very excited to join the staff at Abilene High,” Hall-Fanner said. “This is an amazing opportunity, and I am ready to get to work!”

Hall-Fanner earned a bachelor’s degree in fitness management from Wayland Baptist University and is a certified physical education teacher. While at Wayland Baptist, Hall-Fanner competed on the volleyball team, which advanced to the semifinal round of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics volleyball tournament in 2015.
