Please join us for a parent meeting Tuesday, Jan. 21 in the Ortiz cafeteria. Meeting times are designated alphabetically by last name in order to prevent crowding.

All Ortiz Families (A-M): 5 p.m.
All Ortiz Families (N-Z): 6 p.m.
Bilingual Program Families: 7 p.m.

The parent meeting will include a presentation led by a school administrator, providing important information and updates. After the presentation, parents will have the opportunity to speak individually with administrators to address specific questions.

Your family is invited to learn more about your choices during campus preview nights. These events are intended to provide an opportunity for families to tour campuses, meet campus leadership, and get to know each school community.

• Martinez Elementary: Jan. 28

• Purcell Elementary: Jan. 29

• Stafford Elementary: Jan. 27

Each Campus Preview event will take place from 5:15-6 p.m.

The application window for students currently attending Ortiz Elementary School will begin Monday, Jan. 27. At that time, families will identify their choices in rank order.

All Ortiz Elementary School families (except for students in the Bilingual Program) will be required to fill out the School Choice application, even if they intend to stay at Ortiz for one more school year.

AISD will make every effort to place families in their first choice school, space allowing.

The application window will close Friday, Feb. 7, and notifications will be distributed by mail and email in March.
