We’re are pleased to share that families no longer need to apply for or renew transfers each year. Students currently attending an AISD school on a transfer can continue at their school through 5th grade (elementary) or 8th grade (middle school).
Student Transfer Procedures
Welcome to Abilene ISD! We are excited to support your student's educational journey, whether they are transferring into AISD or selecting a school outside their designated attendance zone. Our goal is to make the transfer process as seamless as possible and to ensure every student feels at home in our district.
Application Information
All applications must include a current proof of residence, such as water, electric, gas, lease/mortgage documentation in your name or your spouse’s name (no disconnect notices).

All required documents must be submitted with the transfer application form (below). Incomplete applications (without required documents) will not be accepted. Transfer applications submitted between beyond the established deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis and determined by availability of seats at requested campus.
Denied applications submitted beyond the established deadline cannot be appealed.
