Parents eager to enroll their young children in Abilene ISD’s Early Childhood programs for the 2025-26 school year can do so next month at the Abilene Convention Center.

Time: 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Location: Abilene Convention Center
The programs at Crockett Early Head Start and Long Early Learning Center provide nurturing, enriching, and safe environments for children aged 0-4 to develop a foundation of academic and personal success.
Children may qualify based on:
Household income (federal guidelines)
Participation in TANF, SSI, or SNAP
Homeless status
Current or past CPS conservatorship (ages 3 & 4)
Limited English proficiency (age 4)
Military dependency (age 4)
Parents must have the required documentation when they arrive at the Convention Center to register their children, which includes:
Child’s birth certificate, immunization record, & Social Security card
Proof of residency (utility bill or lease)
Proof of income for all adults (tax return, W-2s, 1099s, child support)
Parent/guardian photo ID
Additional documents for TANF, SSI, SNAP, or military dependents
