Abilene ISD Michele Josselet Clack Middle School Principal

Abilene ISD is proud to announce that Michele Josselet has been selected as the next principal of Clack Middle School. Josselet, who currently serves as Alcorta Elementary School Principal, will officially begin her new role at the start of the 2025-26 school year.

“Clack Middle School has gained an exceptional leader in Michele Josselet,” Superintendent Dr. John Kuhn said. “She has a knack for bringing people together and leads with the success of her students and staff in mind. I look forward to supporting her and the Clack team as they build bright futures together.”

Josselet is a veteran educator with 25 years of experience. She began her teaching career in Anson ISD in 2000 before joining Abilene ISD in 2006 as a 6th grade pre-AP language arts teacher at Clack Middle School. She has also taught at Dyess and Thomas elementaries and served as an instructional specialist at Craig Middle School. Since 2019, Josselet has led Alcorta Elementary as principal, cultivating a culture of kindness, compassion, and positivity while driving significant improvement in academic performance. This new role brings her full circle back to Clack Middle School where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2014.

“I am very excited to step into the role of principal at Clack Middle School,” Josselet said. “I look forward to working with all the amazing educators and school community. I cannot wait to see all that we will accomplish! It has been an honor and privilege to be part of the Alcorta family. Alcorta is a special place that will always be near and dear to my heart.”

Josselet graduated with her bachelor’s degree from McMurry University and holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University. She will succeed former Clack principal Jon Patrick, who was recently chosen to lead Cooper High School as principal.
