About Crockett Early Head Start

Crockett Early Head Start offers comprehensive child development services for children from birth to three years of age in a developmentally appropriate setting. The purpose of the program is to enhance children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development; to support parents’ efforts to fulfill their parental roles; and to help parents move toward self-sufficiency.

Our talented and dedicated staff is committed to providing young children and families with high quality services that will lead them to success. This is accomplished through enhancing students’ cognitive, social, and emotional development while also supporting and strengthening parent-child relationship.

Early Head Start also serves pregnant and parenting teens in Abilene ISD. The Crockett Early Head Start works closely to provide services to families to empower them to be successful in school and life.

The program serves 132 infants and toddlers and 9 pregnant women. Federal funding is over $2,000,000 annually.
