Craig Middle School opened in 2007 and is one of four middle schools in Abilene ISD. The teachers and staff of Craig Middle School are dedicated to providing an excellent education for all students and for helping each learner reach their full academic potential. In addition, Craig Middle School strives to ensure that students are given opportunities to become well-rounded individuals through extra-curricular activities, excellent fine arts programs, and other leadership activities.

At Craig Middle School, we believe:

• Every student will be accountable to high academic and behavioral expectations;

• In the importance of integrity, character education, and life lessons in daily instruction;

• The foundation of teaching involves establishing a relationship with students to enhance personal responsibility and strong leadership skills;

• to move forward and reach their full potential, students perform most successfully in a structured, disciplined, and safe environment;

• every student should have a classroom environment where he/she feels secure in expressing

  his/her ideas and opinions without criticism or ridicule;

• school success is dependent upon the combined efforts of educators, students, parents, and our community all working toward the same goal.

On early release days, all secondary schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. Additional information will be shared with parents by their student's campus.
