Our Campus

Austin Elementary School was established in 1959. Located in the Brookhollow neighborhood in southwest Abilene, Austin serves 730 students in kindergarten through 5th grade. It is the “family atmosphere” at our school that makes it such a special place. The Stephen F. Austin family includes teachers, families, students and community members working together to make sure that all of our students achieve their full potential. With this winning combination, we hope to continue serving students and making Austin a great place to learn.

Our PTO offers many opportunities for volunteering during the school year.  PTO sponsors a Fall Fest, 50’s Day, Yearbook, Movie Night, and many other amazing and meaningful activities throughout the year for both our students and faculty.  Please join the Austin PTO so that you will be well informed of all the ways you can help as well as events that your family will not want to miss!

Austin has had a winning tradition and continues to be a leader among Abilene schools.  Our purpose is to have our teachers, families, and community be actively involved in our students’ lives so they can: Be here to learn, learn to lead, and lead everywhere! At Austin, Great Happens Here!
