Bassetti Elementary’s Special Education Programs are set up to help students on their specific ability level. Students may receive Special Education services based on assessments and individual need. All of our Special Education teachers use different techniques and adapted materials to teach their students. Students are taught based on their specific needs in order to meet state standards and academic goals.

Other services offered through Special Education are Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Sensory Lab.

We have three self-contained special education classrooms, where we focus on meeting the needs of each student on their individualized level. We use standardized grade level TEKS to guide curriculum while also meeting the specific academic and functional needs of our students. Part of our program is to implement unique ways of learning and create an inclusive environment that is engaging and successful.
