Abilene ISD seeks feedback from students, parents, and staff on the 2025-26 academic calendar. Use the Google form links below to view drafts and select a preferred version.

The survey will be open for feedback until Friday, Dec. 6. While this is not an official vote regarding the 2025-26 calendar, public feedback is a crucial part of the calendar development process.

The AISD Board of Trustees will consider a calendar draft at its meeting on Monday, Dec. 9.

For reference when considering which calendar to select, here are some highlights of the calendar that appear in each version:

• Labor Day – Monday, Sept. 1 (AISD closed)

• Professional Development Day – Monday, Sept. 22 (students are off)

• Fall Break – Friday, Oct. 10 (professional development day for faculty and staff; students are off), and Monday, Oct. 13 (Columbus Day, AISD closed)

• Friday, Oct. 31 – Professional Development Day (students are off)

• Thanksgiving Break – Monday, Nov. 24-Friday, Nov. 28, 2025

• Teachers Return to Work – Monday, Jan. 5, 2026

• First Day of Classes – Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026

• MLK Holiday – Monday, Jan. 19, 2026 (AISD closed)

• Spring Break – Monday, March 9-Friday, March 13, 2026

• Good Friday – Friday, April 3, 2026 (AISD closed)

• Easter Break – Monday, April 6, 2026 (AISD closed)

• Last Day of School – Thursday, May 21, 2026

• Teacher Work Day – Friday, May 22, 2026

These are the dates that appear only on Calendar A:

• Teachers Report – Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025

• First Day of School – Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025

• Christmas Break – Monday, Dec. 22, 2025 – Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 (students)

• Professional Development Day – Monday, Feb. 16, 2026 (students are off)

These are the dates that appear only on Calendar B:

• Teachers Report – Monday, Aug. 4, 2025

• First Day of School – Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025

• Christmas Break – Friday, Dec. 19, 2025-Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 (AISD closed on Friday, Dec. 19)

• Professional Development Days (students are off) – Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, and Monday, Feb. 16, 2026
