About Madison

Madison Middle School has a rich tradition of success in educating students in Abilene, Texas. Completed in 1962, Madison Junior High educated seventh, eighth, and ninth graders until converting to a middle school in 1985. At that time, the student population shifted to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Madison students have benefitted from several renovations and expansions over the years.  The last occurred during the 2015-16 school year, at which time numerous portable classrooms were removed from the campus.

Madison Middle School serves the educational needs of a diverse and energetic population. Educators and students alike realize that Madison Middle School serves two purposes: teaching and learning. Madison sets the standard for learning in middle schools across West Texas, and our educators understand the vital importance of serving every student who walks the halls of our school. True Bison, whether student or educator, understand that success is dependent upon setting goals and working hard to make those goals reality.
